Missionary of the Month – November 2016

David Reeves

David Reeves is our only Kentucky International Missionary.  He is from the First Free Will Baptist-Owensboro and belongs to our Association.  David was appointed as a short-term intern to France in the April 2016 board meeting.  He will work with the J’Pense team – Dennis, Carol, Joel, and Lydie Teague – in their outreach ministry.  J’Pense (translated “I Think”) brings young people together in a neutral environment and addresses their pressing questions about life with the goal of introducing them to Christ.

David participated in E-TEAM (a summer missions experience for high school students) traveling to St. Croix, Cuba, and Brazil.  He credits the trip to Cuba with giving him a “heart for the lost and impoverished.”  After the trip to Brazil, David committed to a life of missions.

During his time at Welch College, David served in various ministry roles (primarily youth pastor, associate pastor, and intern) within different Free Will Baptist churches.  He volunteered at the Nashville Rescue Mission, experiencing both the joy of seeing people come to a saving knowledge of Christ and the heartbreak of praying for people who rejected salvation.

David will be here in our services on November 27.  Pray about supporting him as he prepares to go overseas!
